More than a dance school
Malta's leading Latin dance school needed a brand that moved as fast as the culture it carried.
Connexion is Malta's leading Latin dance school — salsa, bachata, kizomba — with a loyal and growing community. The project came through Selective Agency Malta, who commissioned the rebrand on behalf of the client. The brief: reposition Connexion as the hottest spot for Latin dance on the island — not just another class schedule. The existing brand had grown organically but no longer reflected the energy, confidence, or scale of what Connexion had become. A full rebrand was needed — from logo to a working visual system that could sustain daily social media communication.
CHALLENGE
From script to system
The original logo — a cursive wordmark — felt soft and decorative. It worked in isolation but broke down completely across social media formats: too delicate at small sizes, no strong symbol, no system behind it. The real challenge was not just a new logo. It was building a visual language flexible enough for events, announcements, course promotion, and brand moments — while staying recognisably Connexion.

And critically: the team needed to use it themselves — no designer on call for every Instagram post. The system had to be self-sufficient from day one.
